Soo T-Birds tryout camp set
Jordan Smith, coach-general manager of the two-time, reigning Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League champion Soo Thunderbirds, has released details for the team’s upcoming tryout camp.
The three-day, weekend session will be held August 19-21 at John Rhodes Community Centre in Sault Ste. Marie.
Cost to attend the tryout camp is $150 per player. Players can register via thetechtbirds@gmail.com. New players must bring a permission-to-skate form if necessary.
The training camp schedule is as follows.
Friday, August 19
Registration: 6:00 p.m.
Scrimmage: Black v. Red, 7-9 p.m.
Saturday, August 20
Scrimmage: 10 a.m. – noon.
Scrimmage: 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 21
Scrimmage: 10:30 a.m. – noon.
I was just on the NOJHL website and the Soo Thunderbirds upcoming regular season schedule is blank. You go to other team’s schedules, and you’ll see a black spot where the Thunderbirds are playing. The team didn’t fold did it?
